When it's the middle of the night...

Well, here is my first blog post on my new website.

And one thing I am thinking about is relatability. How we can relate to and with each other, especially when there is a sense of being alone...is anybody there?

In the dark of night, around 3 am, is the time for some of us, maybe even many of us, to wake up and wonder, and think, and think, and ramble and rumble in our minds.

One of the things I thought of a couple nights ago at 3 am is the sense of connectivity...

the feeling of being alone in my aloneness. I asked myself, "where am I now in this world? Is anything out there? Does anything hear me right now?". The dark and silence enveloped me.

Just after asking this, on cue, I heard the sound of the owl hoo hoo hoo hooing outside my window in the big tree. I immediately felt a deep and present connection to life, not separate from it, and all that this world is made up of. The owl, one of my Spirit animals, is a familiar ally in times of inquiry and wonder. It was a validation that we, all things, are connected. Do you relate to this? Have you had times when you "cry out in the night with a question or statement about this little me in a big universe?". Are we ego vs. Atman, the little i and the Big I, or can we hear the sound of nature and the owl and know that we are one with it All, and there is no separation.

Ask for what you need. See what appears in your field of consciousness. You might be joyfully answered by "The One Who Knows" within you.

If not, turn on a sound app and listen to the sounds of nature, That can be a way to remember, we are all a part of this amazing life. And "I am That".
